New Jersey’s Chris Christie Attacks Benefit Both Trump & Biden

I have been one of Chris Christie’s biggest supporters for more than 15 years.

I supported Governor Christie every step of the way … including the infamous “Bridgegate” scandal and every other political tight spot that Christie has had since first becoming a candidate for Governor of New Jersey in 2007 for the 2009 election versus incumbent Jon Corzine.

I simply cannot support what Christie is doing now.

It’s not that he’s running for President of The United States. That’s his right. It’s how he is doing it that I strongly disagree with.

It is so obvious that Christie is a political kamikaze candidate, with the sole and telegraphed mission of trying to destroy President Donald Trump.

About Chris Christie, Fox News super star Sean Hannity, who is my WPG Talk Radio 95.5 Atlantic City teammate, said it like this on-air recently:

"You're (Christie) only getting in this race because you hate Donald Trump and want to bludgeon Donald Trump. I don't see Chris Christie actually wanting to run and win the nomination. He views it as his role to be the enforcer and to attack Trump,” said Hannity.

Hannity is questioning aloud about whether he even wants to give Christie any airtime to simply trash Trump.

In the latest NBC News poll, President Trump has a majority 51 percent Republican support in a very large field.

All other major polls are trending in this same fashion.

President Trump also leads President Joe Biden in the polls.

Since Special Council Jack Smith’s 37 count Presidential records indictment … President Trump has increased his lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to 51-22 percent for the Republican Nomination.

In the same NBC poll, Trump led DeSantis 46-31 before Smith’s indictment. After the indictment, Trump’s support increased by 5 points, while at the same time DeSantis has lost 9 points.

The same thing happened when Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg achieved his bogus indictment of Trump. Trump substantially increased his lead in the polls.

And, when Jack Smith comes back for another bite of Trump for phony “January 6th” charges and the state of Georgia piles on with fake election interference charges … Trump will rise still higher in the race for the Republican Nomination for President in 2024.

Chris Christie is smart and he knows exactly what he is doing.

Christie can’t possibly believe that trashing Trump on a daily basis will lead to Republican voters supporting his candidacy.

Christie knows this. That only leaves one reason for his candidacy … to inflict political - electoral damage and try to stop Trump.

There is no winning market in the Republican Party for what Christie is trying to sell.

Christie tried his anti-Trump pitch this past weekend at the “Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority 2023.”

Christie was roundly booed during his speech. Christie’s response for being booed, was to scold the crowd.

The New York Times, Washington Post, the alphabet liberal Networks, CNN, MSNBC, etc. all love what Christie is doing.

That really tells you all that you need to know.

The President Joe Biden White House also loves what Christie is doing.

Christie has also resorted to calling President Trump “a loser.” However, President Trump has achieved what only 45 men in 246 years of American history have ever done.

Trump has won The American Presidency. By definition, that makes Trump a winner and not a loser.

With or without Christie, Trump is poised to win The American Presidency twice.

The net - net affect of the Christie strategy is as follows:

• Christie attacking Trump helps Trump during the Republican Primary election.
• What Christie may succeed in doing is to hurt President Trump with certain suburban women voters and Independents.

In a General Election that may be decided by less than 200,000 combined votes over 4 or 5 states … every vote is going to count in 2024.

After this political fight is over … Chris Christie will always be welcomed by the various liberal news outlets … as long as he opposes Trump.

I’m rooting for Christie … that he doesn’t cross the Rubicon and burn every bridge with conservative radio, television and digital outlets in America.

If Christie helps Joe Biden win a second term … he could become the next figurative “Dr. Samuel Mudd” of Republican electoral politics.

I interviewed with him and was directly hired by President Trump in 1989, as his senior hotel executive at then Trump Castle Casino Resort by The Bay. We have remained loyal and trusted friends for more than 34 years. I supported President Trump for President of The United States in 2016 and 2020. I am also supporting President Trump for re-election in 2024.
