NJ Senator Says Atlantic County Executive Tried to Steer Contracts
New Jersey Senator Vince Polistina, R-2 has stated on-air on WPG Talk Radio 95.5 and now he has documented explosive allegations in writing about Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson.
Polistina has written a letter to Matt DeNafo, President of the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) today, Wednesday, January 28, 2025.
The Polistina letter is written on his official New Jersey Senator letterhead.
We have obtained a copy of the letter and it is published below.
In part, it reads:
“On a recent local radio show appearance, County Executive Dennis Levinson admitted to the show host and listeners, that he had instructed you to steer professional contracts in an attempt to end the controversy related to the horrendous odors emanating from the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) landfill, located in Egg Harbor Township. During that same appearance, he did indicate that you, however, rebuffed his demand. I want to applaud you for your recognition of this highly inappropriate, unethical and possibly illegal demand of the County Executive in his attempt to force the President of an independent authority to issue any contract, let alone in this manner,” wrote Polistina.
Levinson’s comments above were not aired on WPG Talk Radio 95.5 FM, rather on another local radio talk show.
In his letter, Polistina also asked DeNafo if he has taken any steps to report the matter to the “ACUA Board of Directors and/or the other relevant authorities.”
In my on-air interview with Senator Polistina yesterday, he also stated that Levinson has made false public statements about him regarding professional services contracts that Polistina has never sought or received.
Here is the Polistina letter to DeNafo in its entirety.
It is unprecedented for a sitting Republican Senator to write this about a sitting Republican County Executive.
Polistina has clearly had enough of Levinson lying about him.
This is a developing story.
