Atlantic City Police continue to search for 22-year-old Jiquan Cooper of Pleasantville, who has been charged with attempted murder in connection to a shooting in the city back in June.

The ACPD says on the night of June 7th, officers responded to the unit north block of Hartford Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert. Arriving officers located a gunshot victim, identified as a 25-year-old person from Atlantic City. The victim was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City for treatment.

An investigation by detectives identified Jiquan Cooper and 28-year-old Kevin Alicea of Atlantic City as the suspects involved in the shooting. Alicea was arrested by police on June 27th; Cooper has not been arrested and is wanted.

Both Cooper and Alicea have been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and conspiracy.

Alicea was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Cooper or this incident is urged to contact Atlantic City Police at (609) 347-5788.
