Christmas is less than three weeks away and if you're planning on sending some Christmas cheer to loved ones this holiday season, here are some important dates for you to be aware of from the Post Office, Fed Ex, and UPS.

Don't wait until the last minute to send packages to loved ones far away. Here are some holiday cutoffs and deadlines from Easypost.com.

2017 UPS Mail-By for U.S. Deliveries:

December 16th is a good cutoff date to keep in mind if you're shipping via the UPS.

December 18th for 3 day shipments and December 20th for 2 day shipments.

UPS Next Day Air deliveries will be made on December 23rd.

2017 USPS Mail-By Dates for U.S. Deliveries:

December 15 - Deadline for USPS Standard Parcel Post shipments.

December 20 - Deadline for USPS First Class Mail and Priority Mail shipments.

December 24 - Deadline for USPS Priority Express Mail shipments.

Post Office locations will be closed nationwide on December 24th, according to the USPS. Check your local post office for holiday hours which will be posted at each location.

2017 FedEx Mail-By dates for U.S. Deliveries:

December 11 - Deadline for FedEx SmartPost shipments.

December 15 - Deadline for FedEx Ground shipments.

December 18 - Deadline for FedEx Home Delivery shipments.

December 19 - Deadline for FedEx Express Saver shipments.

December 20 - Deadline for FedEx 2-Day and 2-Day A.M. shipments.

December 21 - Deadline for FedEx Standard Overnight, Priority Overnight, and First Overnight shipments.

December 25* - Deadline for FedEx SameDay shipments.

*Even though FedEx offers such a close deadline, SameDay isn't a 100% guarantee that it will arrive during the 25th. SameDay service is also limited by distance.

2017 UPS Dates: 

UPS 3 Day Select - Monday December 18th with delivery on December 22nd.

UPS 2nd Day Air - Wednesday, December 20th with delivery on December 22nd.

UPS Next Day Air  Thursday, December 21st with delivery on December 22nd.
