Tyner says Gregory failed to properly feed the girl and "beat the child repeatedly with a metal spatula leading to open wounds and welts on the child’s body." Gregory is the girl's legal guardian.

Tyner says she's been charged with "2 counts of second degree Aggravated Assault and 6 counts of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child whom she was the legal guardian of, as well as the child’s 2 siblings." She also faces a third degree charge of possession of heroin.

The young girl has been removed from the home by the DCP&P. Tyner says "she was extremely emaciated and could barely walk. She was taken to the hospital and was admitted for one week."

Gregory is being held at the Atlantic County Jail, pending an upcoming hearing. The investigation is ongoing.
