COMMERCIAL TOWNSHIP — A South Jersey mom said she found a sewing needle in a piece of candy her kids collected during trick-or-treating on Monday night.

No arrests have been made and State Police said they are investigating.

Police urged parents to check their children's Halloween candy as soon as possible.

At least one other incident was reported this Halloween in New Jersey. Barnegat police said a resident reported finding a small pin in a Kit Kat bar obtained in the Timbers development of the Ocean County township. Police said the wrapper was apparently compromised and not sealed.

Razor blades were found inside Tootie Rolls handed out on Halloween in Mainstee County, Michigan, according to MLive.com, and the Daily Tribune reported a nail was discovered inside a green apple Tootsie Roll in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
