Antoine D. McCoy and William C. Smith of Galloway were arrested Monday afternoon with a whole lot of illegal stuff in their car.

A heads-up citizen noticed a person with a handgun in a car on Collins Road in Galloway Township some time after 1PM on Monday, August 1st, and called police.

Ironically, a police sub-station is located on Collins Road.

Officers spotted the vehicle going South on Pitney Road and stopped the car. According to the Galloway Patch, when searching the car, police found a loaded Ruger .380 with hollow point bullets. The gun had been reported stolen in another state.

Police also found marijuana and cocaine at the scene of the arrest.

Antoine D. McCoy of Galloway was charged with possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, possession of hollow point bullets, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance which was cocaine, and possession of stolen property.

William C. Smith of Galloway was charged with possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, possession of hollow point bullets, possession of stolen property and apparently was not allowed to have a gun on him in the first place.
