New Jersey's stretch of unsettled weather is over, and we have sunshine and warming temperatures ahead through the rest of this week.

The remnants of Hurricane Helene finally exit the coast Tuesday, as New Jersey looks forward to drier, brighter, warmer days later this week.

Sporadic wet weather, thick clouds, and below normal temperatures will carry through the first full weekend of fall for New Jersey.

There's no denying New Jersey's weather will stay unsettled — cloudy with showers — with a stalled front and Helene's tropical moisture in the forecast.

As a warm front lifts through New Jersey, we will see a marked increase in rain chances, temperatures, and humidity levels.

Wednesday will be New Jersey's first rainy day in a while and unsettled weather will probably linger through the rest of the week, too.

Tuesday looks fine, although mostly cloudy and somewhat humid. Wednesday will be a "carry the umbrella" kind of day for New Jersey.

After a very dry first half of September, New Jersey really needs to see some rain. And "Potential Tropical Cyclone #8" may deliver this week.
