The countdown to Memorial Day and the unofficial start to the summer season in South Jersey has begun. Get ready for summer traffic jams, as people from all over the tri-state area will once again head down to the shore to visit our beautiful beaches.

Locals can look forward to getting a bit of a break in the commute department though as the Townsends Inlet Bridge is scheduled to be up and running by Memorial Day weekend, according to NJ.com.

The bridge, which connects Sea Isle City and Avalon in Cape May County, has been closed since September 2018. The bridge will once again be open to motorists, bicyclists, runners and pedestrians on May 22nd just ahead of the shore's busy season!
