What is #GivingTuesday and How Can We Celebrate in South Jersey?

According to the website, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

This day has always been celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. In which case, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season (after a very self-indulgent time) to focus on people, organizations, and business in our area that are in need during the holiday/end-of-year giving season.

One of the best ways to get involved is obviously right here in South Jersey.

#GivingTuesday is of course day when people around the world come together to give back. But in the efforts to make this movement grow across the world and social media, it all starts with baby steps: like in our own community.

With the hashtag #GivingTuesdayNJ on Twitter and other platforms, make it known that here in South Jersey, we selflessly give back to those who do the best by our community every single day.
