Absecon Man Killed on Route 30 at Delilah Road
Authorities say a man from Absecon was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Route 30 early Sunday morning.
The Atlantic City Police Department says at about 12:05 AM Sunday, their officers responded to the eastbound lanes of Route 30 at milepost 54.5, near Delilah Road, for the report of a single-vehicle crash. The ACPD says Absecon Police and medical personnel were on the scene.
According to police, the driver, identified as 23-year-old Devante Schriver of Absecon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Schriver was driving a 2020 Honda Accord when he left the road and hit a utility pole.
An investigation into the crash is being conducted by ACPD Ofc. Fitzroy Simpson of the Accident Investigations Section.
