Atlantic City Desperately Needs New Mayor & Schools Super [Op Ed]

You can’t overstate what a mess the management of Atlantic City Hall and the Atlantic City Public Schools is at this time.

Two controversial figures, who happen to be a husband and wife duo, are running the whole show.

Introducing Marty and La’Quetta Small. The first is Mayor of Atlantic City … the other is Superintendent of Public Schools.

Oh, yeah … both Marty and La’Quetta Small are also presently under serious criminal indictment for child abuse.

Marty Small also managed to get himself indicted a second time for alleged witness tampering.

GOVERNOR PHIL MURPHY ASKED

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy asked Marty Small to resign his position. Small refused.

INDICTED FOR CHILD ABUSE … YET, CONTINUES LIKE NOTHING HAS HAPPENED

Beyond comprehension is the fact that no one in a position of responsibility has asked La’Quetta Small to resign, or, to be suspended … pending disposition of her child abuse criminal charge.

La’Quetta Small may be the only educator in American history to be criminally charged with child abuse … yet, remain in her supervisory position and permitted to have direct pupil, certified and supportive staff contact.

It’s beyond belief that this has been allowed to continue.

THE LIST OF THOSE WHO HAVE FAILED THE PUBLIC

Here are all of the people who have purposely allowed La’Quetta Small to continue like this:

• My friend, Governor Murphy.
• New Jersey Commissioner of Education.
• All state of New Jersey (Atlantic City) Monitors.
• Atlantic County Superintendent of Public Schools.
• Atlantic City Board of Education.

CAN YOU ACTUALLY BELIEVE THIS?

It is beyond any norm, at any time in American history. It’s wrong at countless levels.

MARTY SMALL HAT TRICK?

For Marty Small to remain as Mayor of Atlantic City, he will need to pull-off a signicant “hat trick.”

First, Marty Small will have to defeat Bob McDevitt on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 Democrat Primary election. That won’t be easy under the present circumstances.

Second, the Marty and La’Quetta Small criminal trial is set to begin on July 14, 2025. I think it will be delayed by Small Team legal maneuvers.

To remain as mayor, Marty Small will have to win at criminal trial. If he is convicted, he immediately forfeits his elective office.

Third, Marty Small we have to win the November general election against a Republican nominee, Naeem Khan and Independent candidate, Dennis Burroughs.

3RD CRIMINAL TRIAL FOR MARTY SMALL

Marty Small is presently 2-0 versus the state of New Jersey when facing previous criminal trials.

Can Small make it 3-0? Would that be a record of some kind?

However, Atlantic County Prosecutor Will Reynolds is much better prepared than the state was at the two previous Marty Smsll criminal trials.

THE FUTURE FOR LA’QUETTA SMALL

If La’Quetta Small is convicted of child abuse, she will immediately be removed from her position as Atlantic City’s chief schools executive.

If La’Quetta Small is exonerated at trial, she will continue … as is only right.
