Atlantic City Man Dies in Holding Cell
A 41-year-old man from Atlantic City died Monday night in an Atlantic City Police Department holding cell.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says a 41-year-old man, who's identity has not yet been released pending notification of next-of-kin, was arrested Monday morning on a non-support warrant and lodged in the holding area of the Atlantic City Police Department before 11AM. During a routine check by police after 10PM Monday night, medical personnel were called to the scene, the man was taken to ARMC-City, and then pronounced dead.
An autopsy found the cause of death to be a massive upper-gastrointestional tract bleed and the manner of death was natural. The Prosecutor's Office continues to investigate the incident.
