Atlantic City, NJ, Trifecta: Drugs, Burglary & Shoplifting
The Atlantic County, New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office has obtained its latest guilty plea.
They have been very successful at winning convictions without having to go through the expense and ordeal of trials.
On Thursday, October 31, 2024, Francisco Corriano, 34, of Atlantic City, New Jersey pleaded guilty to charges in five separate cases involving criminal activity throughout Atlantic County.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that the recommended sentence is a a five-year term in New Jersey State Prison, to be served on a concurrent basis.
Corriano was arrested various times between November, 2023 through September, 24 for shoplifting, narcotics, and burglary offenses.
About this case, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office outlined in detail the five different times that Corriano was arrested as follows:
On November 6, 2023, Corriano was arrested for shoplifting in Egg Harbor Township. On this date, officers from the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to Boscov's for a reported shoplifting. Upon arrival, law enforcement apprehended the subject, later identified as Corriano, who was fleeing from the scene, when arrested.
On December 12, 2023, Corriano was arrested in Atlantic City for the distribution of cocaine. At approximately 10:40 a.m., officers from the Atlantic City Police Department observed a drug transaction taking place in the area of South Texas Avenue. Corriano was observed distributing cocaine to another individual. As law enforcement approached, Corriano tried to flee, but was quickly apprehended.
On January 11, 2024, Corriano was arrested in Atlantic City for the distribution of heroin. At approximately 7:35 p.m., officers from the Atlantic City Police Department again observed a drug transaction taking place in the area of South Texas Avenue. Corriano was observed distributing heroin to another individual. Corriano was subsequently placed into custody, without incident.
On May 25, 2024, Corriano was arrested for burglary in Atlantic City. The day prior, at approximately 6:20 p.m., a suspect broke into Breathe Salt Spa, a business at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino and stole property belonging to that business, damaging additional items inside.
After an investigation by the Atlantic City Police Department, the suspect was identified as Corriano, who was subsequently arrested.
On September 24, 2024, Corriano was arrested for burglary in Atlantic City. Officers were dispatched to the FireWater Saloon at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. Officers spoke to an employee, who indicated that an individual had entered their bar unlawfully and took numerous bottles of alcohol, and damaged property belonging to the business. In total, the business suffered over $1,000.00 in losses. After an investigation by the Atlantic City Police Department, the suspect was identified as Corriano, who was subsequently arrested, wrote the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Corriano subsequently pleaded guilty to each of the above five criminal offenses.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that Carriano’s sentencing will take place before Judge Dorothy Incarvito-Garrabrant, on January 10, 2024.
Corriano will remain detained pending his sentencing.
