Cops in Atlantic City were able to diffuse a tense situation Tuesday night when an armed woman allegedly threatened to kill a worker at a store in the city.
According to a press release from the Atlantic City Police Department, the scene unfolded around 7:00 Tuesday night when officers responded to Ocean Body Oil in the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue after they received a report of a woman armed with a knife refusing to leave the store.
Arriving officers found 28-year-old Octavia Watson of Atlantic City inside with a knife. A press release says, "officers gave numerous commands to Watson to drop the knife who continually refused. Watson yelled at the officers that she was going to kill the store clerk. The officers engaged Watson in dialogue for several minutes pleading with her to drop the knife.
