We have reviewed many different food items with the direct help of submissions from our Listeners, Readers, Family Members and Friend Foodies.

We have never before reviewed the bread and rolls service that Atlantic City, New Jersey Area restaurants provide.

My family loves bread.

The featured photograph above is the bread display from Capriccio Italian Restaurant, located at Resorts Casino Hotel Atlantic City.

For 3 consecutive years and 4 out of the past 5 years - Capriccio is the # 1 casino restaurant in America - as selected by USA Today 10Best Readers Choice Awards.

The bread display is just wonderful and it is accompanied by a bowl of Frankie’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil, along with roasted garlic cloves - it is sheer perfection.

Here is the star of “the bread show.”

Atlantic City Councilman George Tibbitt told us, “whoever serves Atlantic City bread rolls.”

Below, is a photo of our recent bread service at Tony’s Baltimore Grill in Atlantic City, New Jersey. They do what many local restaurants and sub shops do. They order their Italian bread on a 50-50 basis between Formica – Freitag Bakery and Rando‘s Bakery.

Kerry Bowers wrote us about the garlic bread at Maplewood & pizza bread at Offshore.

Tara Anne wrote, “Maplewood garlic bread and loaf bread.”

Shawn Rowan write, “Although we do love the Crab Trap breads that accompany our meal, there is a very close number 2 bread basket, restaurant within walking distance, and that would be the Windjammer over on Macarthur Boulevard (Somers Point). They give you two very nice, soft snowflake, type rolls, and two pieces of banana bread, which is one of my all-time favorites.”

Jerry Schaffer says, “I don't have a picture but the rolls served fresh and hot at the Texas Roadhouse are great.” Carol Lynn Cappuccio agrees. So does,

Christina Thomas, who wrote, “Texas Roadhouse rolls are my weakness!! Funny, I go for the muffins at crab trap more than the bread. Not a fan. And that's why everyone is different.”

Sari Puzio Carroll writes “Rificis for garlic knots, but if you want something out of this world...Cuba Libra, and they serve it with mango butter.....now I have to go for dinner.”

Richard Sless picks the bread service at The Shore Diner, in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey … just outside of Northfield on Tilton Road.

Nick Wargo wrote, “Any restaurant with cinnamon and cheese bread. Crab trap rolls are awesome no matter what.”

Tom Mozitis wrote, “Harry when I worked there (The Crab Trap) as a kid... a cup of their crab bisque and dipping those rolls in it.... Wow! The best!!!”

Tom, I just did the same this past Friday. Please see below, my before and after results;

The wonderful Crab Trap rolls will not leave a single drop of the crab bisque soup left in the bowl. This is the finest crab bisque soup ever made.
