Egg Harbor City, NJ, Man Pleads Guilty to Being Leader of Drug Trafficking Network
An Egg Harbor City man has pleaded guilty to being the leader of a narcotics trafficking network in Atlantic County.
On Thursday, 32-year-old Robert Strong pleaded guilty in exchange for a 15 year state prison sentence, of which he must serve at least half of before becoming eligible for parole
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says Strong was charged with several offenses in a 2021 indictment for his participation in distributing drugs after a four-year-long investigation.
Strong is one of 30 people facing charges in this case.
After his guilty plea, the Court released Strong from jail to level three monitoring with home confinement pending his sentence over the objection of the State.
Sentencing is currently scheduled for September 28th, but may be postponed since his plea is conditioned on all codefendants pleading guilty as well.
