A Brick man is facing a string of charges following his arrest at a traffic stop near Church Road and Mantoloking Road where police found him in possession of 30 bags of heroin set for resale, among other narcotics.

Brick Police announced Friday that their Street Crimes Unit pulled Frank Russo, Jr., 66, over on Wednesday around 9:45 PM and as they were investigating they found a stash of drugs inside the vehicle.

In the end, their search of the vehicle led detectives to the discovery of seven Xanax pills, Paraphernalia, 30 bags of heroin packaged for resale, three grams of crack cocaine and cocaine packaged for resale.

Then they said they found a butterfly style knife was also in his possession along with a sum of cash, pending forfeiture.

Russo, Jr. is charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Xanax, Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute, Paraphernalia, Hindering Apprehension and Possession of a Weapon.

He was also issued traffic summonses for Careless Driving and a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle, then was released on a summons pending a further court date.
