How to Help the 3 Families Involved in Egg Harbor City Fire
A fire on Friday, March 1 on Liverpool Avenue left three Egg Harbor City families lucky to be alive, but without their homes or possessions.
Members of the community have stepped up to try to help the families involved by starting separate GoFundMe pages for them. See links to the fundraisers at the bottom of the article.
The People Who Lost Their Homes in the Egg Harbor City Fire
Ritchie and Melanie Prince-Borges and their two young daughters Miylah and Malaya; Unique Cohen, her two sons, ages 7 & 11 years old, and her boyfriend; and Thomascita Ramos and her daughter Shauna were all left homeless and with only what they were wearing at the time of the fire.
The Prince-Borges Family
The GoFundMe explains the sad circumstances of the fire and asks for help with money for clothing for the family, household items, and medical expenses for pets injured in the fire.
Melanie, Richie & their two sweet daughters lost their home to a fire so severe, the house has been condemned. Miylah lost her picture perfect pink bedroom and Malaya lost the only home she has ever known.
Coach Unique Cohen & family
This fundraiser spotlights Unique Cohen's long involvement in youth sports in Egg Harbor City's Crusaders program and asks for money for necessities and personal care items.
Coach Unique is a life long resident of Egg Harbor City and has been part of the Crusaders organization for well over 20 years. She's selfless and dedicated to supporting her community by building up and empowering those around her...Please help support her and her family in their time of need.
The Ramos Family
The Ramos family GoFundMe was started by Thomascita Ramos's older daughter Shaurice, who says the family home for the past 23 years is gone and her elderly mother is not in good health. The family also lost a cat in the fire.
We desperately & humbly ask for your prayers, support & financial help. From $1 to any larger amounts it will be very useful to help them buy necessities; clothes, personal belongings, food,...and will also be used for a down payment on an apartment rental.
Please consider helping these families in any way you can.
