The Philadelphia Eagles are doubling down on their commitment to quarterback Jalen Hurts, making NFL history in the process.

According to ESPN, the Eagles and Hurts have reached an agreement on a $255 million contract extension that will keep the NFC championship-winning QB around for another five years.

In inking that extension, Jalen Hurts is now officially the NFL's highest-paid professional football player ever.
