Juveniles cause $3500 in damage at apartment complex in Washington Twp., NJ
From juveniles causing thousands of dollars worth of damage at an apartment complex to a man allegedly masturbating in a Walmart parking lot, officers with one police department in South Jersey had quite a busy weekend.
The Washington Township Police Department says this past weekend, they responded to 392 calls for service, nine accidents, and arrested a dozen people.
In addition to the rowdy kids, one man allegedly kneed an officer in his face, a man had his wallet stolen at a pizza restaurant, and another switched price tags on an item at a Target store and was charged with shoplifting.
Arrests This Weekend in Washington Township, NJ
- Warrant arrest: Woman from Glassboro arrested on a warrant out of Gloucester Township on a motor vehicle stop
- Shoplifting arrest: Man from Philadelphia was arrested for shoplifting at Target after placing a $29 price tag on a $229 product and attempting to purchase the product
- Warrant arrest: Woman from the Golden Luck Motel in Turnersville arrested on a no-bail warrant out of Pennsauken
- Aggravated assault on police arrest: Lambs Road, officers responded to the report of an out-of-control man attempting to fight multiple people at a pool party. Upon arrival, the accused man from Teaneck, NJ, was lying in the driveway, under the influence. While officers attempted to assist him to his feet to escort him to an ambulance, he began kicking at officers and kneed Ofc. A. Franchi in the face
- NCIC wanted person arrest: Sewell resident arrested for an NCIC warrant out of Camden County Sheriff's Office during a motor vehicle stop
- Warrants and crack cocaine arrest: Woman from Pemberton was stopped on Route 42 and arrested for active warrants and possession of crack cocaine
- Lewdness arrest: Woman reported that she returned to her vehicle after shopping at Walmart and a man in the vehicle next to her opened his car door and began masturbating. Williamstown resident was issued a special complaint for lewdness
- DWI arrest: Woman from Gibbstown was arrested during a motor vehicle stop for DWI
- Warrant arrest: Woman from Millville was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Atlantic City as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Fries Mill Rd.
- Warrant arrest: Man from Woodbury Heights was arrested on several outstanding warrants out of multiple jurisdictions as a result of a stop on Sicklerville Rd.
- DWI arrest: Officers responded to the intersection of Black Horse Pike and Tuckahoe Rd. for a report of a crash. Man subject from Turnersville charged with DWI
- Warrant arrest: Subject from Pleasantville arrested on an Atlantic County warrant during a traffic stop
- Criminal mischief: Juveniles caused over $3500 worth of damage to the clubhouse at Woodmont Square by damaging TVs and a pool table
- Missing person: Homeless person living in a Uhaul cargo van reported her 24-year-old daughter missing from a Walmart parking lot. A search of the area was negative. A few hours later, the missing person was located by officers inside Wawa on Route 42
- Theft: Resident reported the theft of his wallet while he was at Dominos Pizza on the Black Horse Pike. He left the wallet on the counter and went to his vehicle. Upon returning, his wallet was missing
- Disturbance: Woodmont club pool. Group refusing to leave at closing time Sunday
