A man with 13 outstanding warrants from nine different South Jersey municipalities was taken into custody in Gloucester County this past weekend.

That was just one of the incidents reported by the Washington Township Police Department from the past few days.

As they normally do on Mondays, the department took to Facebook to share with the public what their officers encountered this past weekend.

In total, they answered nearly 400 calls for service, conducted almost 100 motor vehicle stops, investigated 18 crashes, made 11 arrests, investigated four shoplifting incidents, and responded to five domestic disputes.

Some of their more notable cases are as follows:

  • DWI Arrest — A 22-year-old Maple Shade woman was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Delsea Drive Saturday at about 3 AM. Breath samples resulted in a .15% BAC. She was released to her mother.
  • DWI Arrest — A Turnersville man was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Egg Harbor Road Saturday at about 1 AM for DWI (.17% BAC). He was released to a friend.
  • Shoplifting Arrest — A Blackwood resident was arrested during a motor vehicle stop for shoplifting from Target. The store reported the individual is a repeat offender at multiple locations.
  • Warrant Arrest — Officers responded to the Mayfair Motel for a report of a man threatening a woman and refusing to leave her room. The man, from Camden, was found to have 13 active warrants from Camden, Mt. Ephraim, Haddon Township, Bellmawr, Haddon Heights, Pennsauken, Burlington Township, Stratford, and Winslow Township.

  • Domestic Violence Arrest — A mother and son were both arrested following a domestic violence incident in which they assaulted each other.
  • Psych Assist — Officers assisted Gloucester Township Police at Jefferson Hospital with a combative, suicidal man who had walked out of the emergency room. The subject was located and escorted back inside.
  • Pedestrian Crash — A woman was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Planet Fitness and suffered what appeared to be a compound fracture to her leg. She was taken to Cooper Hospital.
  • Pedestrian Crash — A man reported he was riding an e-bike in the Birches West development when a black SUV began following him. The subject reported being struck in the area of Aldeberan Drive and Libra Lane.
  • Burglary & Theft — A contractor reported a trailer was broken into overnight at Sprouts on Egg Harbor Road. Forced entry was observed. Two drills, a Sawzall, and a laser were stolen.
  • Fight — Multiple calls for a fight at the Village Pub on Sunday morning.
  • Jefferson Hospital Calls — Man discharged and lying on the floor refusing to leave, man refusing to leave and giving staff a hard time, caller reporting a scooter accident, 911 misdial, patient reported being assaulted in Franklinville.
