No One Hurt As Shots Are Fired Into Bridgeton Apartment Building

Police in Bridgeton are reporting that shots were fired into a Bridgeton apartment building Monday night.

Police say they were called out just after 10:30pm to the Maple Gardens Apartment Complex for a report of multiple shots.

One witness told police that she was sleeping when she heard three gunshots, with one hitting her front door.

Police say another witness confirmed the three shots and saw a round come through a wall.

Officers say they recovered numerous 9mm bullet casings on the sidewalk near Birch Street. They also observed a number of bullet holes in the walls of two apartments.

The incident remains under investigation.
