Observe NJ Governor’s State of Emergency: NJ Bus Got Stuck
In advance of today’s significant snow storm, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared a State of Emergency for Atlantic County, Cape May County, Cumberland County and all of Southern New Jersey.
We urge all residents to heed Governor Murphy’s declaration.
Here’s an example. Andrew Lauriello has witnessed two New Jersey Transit Buses that have gotten stuck in Cape May County, today.
Below, is a photo of one of the buses stuck at the foot of the Cape May Bridge:
Andrew Lauriello also shared some photos of bad road conditions on a Cape May roadway and The Garden State Parkway:
In a separate article, we will be sharing listener -reader photos of their homes and businesses on this rare snow day.
Here are a few.
We don’t get many show events in recent years.
Today feels like a throwback to days gone by … simpler times when snow would stop normal activities until the plows could make the streets drivable, again.
NOTE: Remember, that is important to observe a state of emergency. For your own safety, and, to leave room on the roads for the various public works departments to be able to properly clear the snow.
Another important reminder. It is the law in New Jersey, that you must clear the snow off of your entire car, prior to driving on the roadways. You can be ticketed if you don’t do this, and it is important that you do it… Because snow can fly off of your car and blind another driver, which could cause a bad accident. It took me about 15 minutes today to remove the snow from my car. Take the time and do this, please… You could save a life.
