Phila. Man Surrenders in Connection to Atlantic City Home Invasion
Atlantic City Police say a suspect wanted for a home invasion has surrendered to police in Philadelphia.
According to authorities, on the morning of June 11th, ACPD officers responded to the 400 block of Madison Avenue in reference to a burglary where a gun was discharged.
Officers arrived and found a 30-year-old woman from Atlantic City had been assaulted. Cops say the suspect, 33-year-old Ishaiah Brown of Philadelphia, entered the victim’s home while she was sleeping and assaulted her with a handgun. After assaulting the victim, Brown fired a gunshot into the wall and stole numerous items from the home before leaving.
On June 19th, Brown turned himself into the Philadelphia Police Department. He is facing robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose charges and was held for extradition back to New Jersey.
