Police Look for Driver Who Struck and Killed Pedestrian on Route 40

Atlantic City Police issued a plea for assistance last night following a hit and run fatal accident on Route 40 near the Atlantic City/Egg Harbor Township Border.

Police say the vehicle in question is a "Black work-style pick-up truck w/ ladder rack with extensive front end driver side damage fleeing westbound." Police urged last night that if anyone had any information on the vehicle, they should call 9-1-1.

Police have not identified the victim of the accident.
