Road Closures in Wildwood, NJ, Monday as Atlantic City Electric Repairs Continue
As work continues following an island-wide power outage last weekend, those in Wildwood should watch for parking and driving restrictions on Monday.

According to the Wildwood Police Department, Atlantic City Electric will be performing work at their substation in the 3300 block of Susquehanna Avenue and at a lot in the 400 block of West Pine Avenue.
As a result, road closures and parking restrictions will be in place throughout the day Monday to allow for equipment staging and access for large vehicles.
“No parking” signs have been posted in the affected areas and vehicles should be moved by no later than 7 AM Monday.
Streets impacted around the substation include West Oak, Susquehanna, West Wildwood, and West Pine Avenues along with Lake Drive.
A fire at an Atlantic City Electric substation started around noon on Friday, July 7th, which knocked out power to some 24,000 people across the entire island. Power for many wasn't restored until Sunday.
Atlantic City Electric said in a statement,
Additional brief temporary interruptions may be needed as Operators continue to balance customer energy demand across the system and as more permanent devices are brought back online. We will do everything possible to minimize any further impacts on our customers and the local community.
