United States Senator Robert Menendez is coming to Atlantic City today, Monday, January 30, 2023 to confirm that more than $ 5 million dollars has been appropriated for upcoming Atlantic City International Airport projects.

In addition to the funding for Atlantic City International Airport projects, an additional $8.1 million has been allocated to the Air National Guard's 177th Fighter Wing in order to upgrade the Atlantic City base.

The Atlantic City base is one of the most important in America.

When: Monday, January 30, 2023.

Where: Atlantic City International Airport, 101 Atlantic City International Airport, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.

Who: United States Senator Robert Menendez, D-NJ.

Stephen Dougherty, Executive Director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA).

Howard Kyle, President of the National Aerospace Research and Technology Park (NARTP).

A Representative from the 177th Fighter Wing of the U.S. Air National Guard (to be announced).

From Senator Menendez:

The funding is part of the federal government funding bill that passed the Congress in December, that included more than $181 million for New Jersey projects advocated for by the Senator. The funding will be used to pay for the design costs of a new taxiway at Atlantic City International Airport to provide access to a proposed cargo terminal, creating new jobs and helping local small businesses, as well as the development of emerging technologies associated with autonomous vehicles that would safely and securely operate on and around an airfield environment.

There has been a big reinvestment made to continue to forge Atlantic City, New Jersey as a world class destination resort … with increased funding coming from both the state and federal level.
