Spirit Air sometimes gets a bad rap. We fly them about 4-5 times a year.

Case in point, today’s today’s 6:00 a.m. flight from Atlantic City, New Jersey to Orlando, Florida.

In the midst of heavy driving snow, the plane boarded early … followed by excellent communication from The Captain and Crew about final de-icing and work on the runway required to be able to take off.

Here’s what de-icing looks like, which most of us have heard about, but, never have seen what it actually looks like:

When this past Monday’s major snow storm dropped about 12 inches of snow on Atlantic City International Airport … they were able to re-open the airport by 9:00 p.m. the same day.

That’s impressive.

We've all heard and even lived through some of the things that can happen. Flight delays and cancellations.

These are very challenging times and an industry like the airline industry can get hit hard from many directions. Bad weather. COVID-19 is also decimating crews.

When you objectively weigh everything, I come to the conclusion that Spirit Air and Atlantic City International Airport do a very good job.

Additionally, for those in South Jersey, it’s also so darn convenient.

All told, today’s first flight will takeoff only 1 hour late.

Considering the driving snow storm and overall bad weather conditions, that’s a major achievement.

Take A Look At How South Jersey Is Enjoying Their EPIC Snow Days!

It's rare that South Jersey gets dumped with snowfall of this magnitude. Everyone's making sure they take FULL ADVANTAGE of all the fun!
