Three Arrested in Rio Grande, Including a Man Who Pulled a Gun on a Guy
What started as an argument at an apartment complex in Rio Grande Tuesday night ended with one man pulling a gun on another guy and three people being arrested.
Middle Township Police say they responded to 2705 Route 9 just before 8:30 PM for the report of a man with a gun. Their investigation revealed the caller, 50-year-old Derek Thomas of Rio Grande, was sitting out front of his apartment when 63-year-old Martin Lindholm, Sr., of Rio Grande pulled up to the complex.
Cops say Lindholm started arguing with another resident and during the argument, Lindholm turned his attention to Thomas and at one point pulled out a gun and threatened him.
Officers were able to locate Lindholm coming out of the woods at 3104 Route 9 South where he was arrested. The handgun has not yet been located.
Lindholm was charged with Aggravated Assault, Certain Person Not to Possess Weapons, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose; he was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Also arrested were 60-year-old Susan Giordano of Rio Grande; she was charged with Hindering Apprehension of Another and Disorderly Conduct; 60-year-old Stephen Mayer, also of Rio Grande, was also arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Both Giordano and Mayer were released after being processed.
