Vineland Man Hit by Car, Killed Tuesday Morning

A man from Vineland died early Tuesday morning after being hit by a car in the city.

Vineland Police say they responded to N East Avenue and Hamilton Drive just before 4AM for the report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

Cops say an investigation revealed that a car being driven by 36-year-old Jasper Rivera of Vineland was traveling northbound on N East Avenue when it struck 35-year-old Edward L. Morales, also of Vineland. Morales died as a result of the impact.

No charges have been filed as an investigation continues.
