Every family deserves to have a holiday meal, and the need in our community has never been greater.  Almost 900,000 people in New Jersey face hunger every day. The Community Food Bank of New Jersey Southern Branch feeds thousands of food-insecure families in our community. So what is the best way to help? Believe it or not, it is better to donate your dollars than your canned goods.

Because they buy in bulk and mass quantities, the Food Bank can stretch a dollar much further than we can, so while it is nice to give food for a holiday meal, you can help more by donating a check.  Renate Taylor, Development Officer for Community Food Bank of New Jersey Southern Branch explains on my weekly program, Living Well with Robin Stoloff on Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG.
