Wildwood Crest Beach Reopens After Monday Closure

It's safe to go back to the beach in Wildwood Crest.

Officials detected a malfunction at a local water treatment center reportedly involving chlorine that affected water being funneled to the ocean near Jefferson Ave., according to 6abc.com.

Lifeguards pulled swimmers out of the water Monday morning. But Tuesday morning Wildwood Crest Mayor Don Cabrera officially listed the ban, and deemed the water and the beach safe.
