Galloway Restaurant Suddenly Closes After 35 Years in Business
W.L. Goodfellows & Co. Restaurant and Pub on the East White Horse Pike in Galloway has closed after 35 years in business.
This was not an easy decision but one that had to be made. Times have changed and economic factors beyond our control have forced us to change with them.
It appears that the restaurant closed immediately after posting the announcement on Friday.
Goodfellows, known for a diverse menu including burgers, wings, steaks, and happy hour, had been criticized on-line by some lately for a dated decor, but the bulk of reviewers told stories of good food and service.
The Press of Atlantic City reports that New Jersey Bankruptcy Court records show Goodfellows filed for Chapter 11 protection in January.
The closing of Goodfellows comes just as the Rams Head Inn, just up from Goodfellows, was officially listed for sale at almost $3.5 million. That restaurant shut-down several months ago.
