A 15-year-old from Atlantic City, who is facing an attempted murder charge, has turned himself into police.

Atlantic City Police say on June 15th, they responded to the 1000 block of Arctic Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert. Arriving officers located a 16-year-old who had been shot; the victim was taken to ARMC-City with serious injuries.

During an investigation conducted by detectives of the ACPD's Violent Crimes Unit, they identified and charged the shooting suspect.

On Wednesday, the juvenile turned himself in to detectives at the Public Safety Building.

The 15-year-old male has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was remanded to the Harborfields Detention Facility.
