18-Year-Old Bridgeton Man Shot and Killed

Cumberland County authorities are investigating the shooting death of a Bridgeton man.

Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb McRae says Bridgeton Police were  called to the area of Burlington Road and Pamphylia Avenue Friday evening for the report of gunshots.

Once on the scene, police found the body of Davion Scarborough, 18, of Bridgeton. He was pronounced dead at the scene, likely from gunshot wounds.

A homicide investigation is underway by the Bridgeton Police Department's Detective Bureau and the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office's Major Crimes Unit.
