Police in Wildwood Crest say a woman they arrested is responsible for a number of burglaries in Cape May County.

Wildwood Crest Police say Heather Reece, 42, has been arrested on charges of burglary and theft.

Here are the details, according to police:

On July 12, 2019 at approximately 1:26am, the Wildwood Crest Police Department received a report of a burglary and theft that occurred at a residence on Lavender Rd. in Wildwood Crest.

During the course of the investigation, Wildwood Crest Detectives were able to identify Heather Reece as the suspect. Reece was implicated in several other burglaries in surrounding towns and was arrested later that day by the Avalon Police Department. Wildwood Crest Detectives were able to recover most of the items that were missing from the victim’s residence with the assistance of those agencies.

Reece was charged with Burglary and Theft and was lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center.

Wildwood Crest Police Department would like to thank Avalon Police Department and Lower Township Police Department for their assistance in recovering items belonging to the victim, as well as citizens in the community who assisted in identifying the suspect.
