This alert is from the Atlantic City, New Jersey Police Department, who are looking for two shooters … who are involved in separate shooting incidents.

WANTED: Ashan Jackson, 19, of Galloway, New Jersey.

CHARGES: Aggravated assault (two counts), unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

WANTED: Warren Govan, 38, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

CHARGES: Unlawful possession of a weapon, certain person not to possess a weapon, and hindering apprehension.

The Atlantic City Police Department reminds the public that the charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department regarding the first shooting incident:

Ashan Jackson has been charged with various crimes related to a shooting investigation that began on March 13, 2024. At 2:34 AM, patrol officers were at the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, when a man walked in suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, 29, of Pleasantville, NJ, was treated for a non-life threatening injury. The victim had been shot at Pennsylvania and Pacific Avenues during an altercation with Jackson.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department regarding the second shooting incident:

On April 7, 2024, Warren Govan entered the medical center with a gunshot wound. Govan provided false information throughout the investigation to officers and reported that he was shot at Sovereign and Atlantic Avenues.Through an investigation, it was definitively concluded that Govan shot himself.

Both investigations were led by detectives of the Atlantic City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.
