The nominations are out for the 90th Annual Academy Awards, and Hollywood's biggest night is set for March 4th. The list of nominees includes favorites, newcomers, and a Margate native.

Congratulations to Scott Neustadter from Margate, a 1994 graduate of Atlantic City High School, for his big Oscar nod.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that Neustadter, who now calls Los Angeles home, is up for an Academy Award along with his writing partner for The Disaster Artist, which is nominated in the best adapted screenplay category. The Disaster Artist stars James Franco.

The article states that this is the first Academy Award nomination for the Margate native. The Atlantic City High grad and his writing partner, Michael H. Weber, have already won Screenwriter Of The Year at the 21st Annual Hollywood Film Awards, which took place in 2017.

The 90th Annual Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will take place on March 4th on ABC.
