The city has shared its official guidelines for Halloween with Egg Harbor City residents on its Instagram page.

Because coronavirus continues to be ever-present in South Jersey, things like protective face coverings and social distancing will be taken into account.

Some of the guidelines in Egg Harbor City include holding any gatherings outdoors, wearing a mask that covers both the nose and mouth, and keeping hands clean through washing and applying hand sanitizer.

Regarding trick-or-treating, Egg Harbor City is asking groups be kept to current household members, and social distance with friends, family, and neighbors who are not.

If you'd rather trunk-or-treat, the city recommends limiting the number of cars, and spacing them out.

As for Halloween parties, residents are asked to adhere to current NJ state restrictions on the number of guests, both inside and outside.

Egg Harbor City also offers some suggestions on their Instagram for a safer kind of Halloween fun, like hosting a virtual/online costume party, carving pumpkins with your family, or finding attractions with drive-thru options.
