
Update: Glassboro, NJ, police need help — unidentified man hit by vehicle
UPDATE: Police have identified the man as 51-year-old Christopher Willis from Pennsylvania. He was last reported to be in critical condition due to the extent of his injuries and they have not been able to locate any family members. Authorities in Gloucester County are asking for help as they try to figure out who exactly got hit by a vehicle Tuesday night.
According to the Glassboro Police Department, at about 8:21 PM, a pedestrian walking southbound in the northbound lane of Delsea Drive was struck in front of Smash Bros., across from the Collegetown Shopping Center.
Officers could not locate any identification or a cell phone belonging to the victim.
He is currently at Cooper Trauma in Camden, and officials would like to notify his family, who may be looking for him.
His description at the time of the crash is as follows:
- Black male
- Approximately 5' 10", 185 pounds
- Approximate age mid-40s to 50s
- Hair is shaved close to his head
- Mustache and a beard that is close to his jawline
- Wearing blue jeans, gray t-shirt, dark blue hooded sweatshirt, black puffer coat
- Green backpack
- Jewelry: diamond stud in his left ear, thick silver double helix necklace
- No known tattoos/scars
Police offered a small picture of his necklace, which we enlarged a bit.
