Man Arrested After Stabbing Two People in Atlantic City
A man from Atlantic City is facing charges after police say he became intoxicated late last week and stabbed two men during an altercation.
Cops responded to a residence in the 2000 block of McKinley Avenue late Thursday night for a report of a knife attack, according to a press release. Arriving officers found two men suffering from stab wounds and 42-year-old Isaac Lowendi of Atlantic City being detained.
Authorities say Lowendi became intoxicated and was was asked to leave the residence, but he refused. Lowendi started and altercation, pulled out a knife, and stabbed one person. A second person attempted to intervene, but was stabbed, too.
Both victims were transported to ARMC-City with non-life threatening injuries.
Lowendi was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, and a single count of unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
