A Burlington County man now knows his fate for sexually assaulting an underage girl last summer.

After pleading guilty to a charge of second-degree sexual assault, 25-year-old Jake E. Toczylowski of Mount Laurel has been sentenced to seven years in state prison.

The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office says its work began in August 2025 after a family member of the victim contacted the Mount Laurel Police Department to report the sexual assault.

An investigation revealed that Toczylowski arranged to meet the victim in person after communicating with her online. The sexual assault occurred in his vehicle while it was parked on a street in Mount Laurel.

Officials withheld additional details to protect the victim's identity.

At the time of his arrest, Toczylowski was employed by the Mount Laurel Township Municipal Utilities Authority. A condition of his plea agreement bars him from holding public employment after he completes his prison term. He will also be placed on the New Jersey sex offender registry and be subjected to parole supervision for life.

Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw urged parents to take a strong role in knowing who their children are chatting with on the internet, saying, "Children must be cautioned about interacting with strangers and also encouraged to immediately report inappropriate communications."
