Pair From Pennsauken, NJ, Charged Following Big Drug Investigation
Two people from Pennsauken are facing a long list of charges following a drug investigation that began last summer.
Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay's office says their work, which began in July, resulted in search warrants being executed last week at Bodega 856 on Westfield Avenue, at a home on the 7000 block of Githens Avenue, and a vehicle.
At those locations, authorities say they seized three pounds of marijuana, a loaded Glock handgun containing a high-capacity magazine, and about $20,000.
29-year-old Matthew Rivera of Pennsauken was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
- Second-degree possession of a firearm while in possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance/marijuana
- Third-degree possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance of one ounce or more, but less than five pounds/marijuana
- Third-degree possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school
- Fourth-degree possession of a large-capacity ammunition magazine
- Fourth-degree possession of hollow nose ammunition
28-year-old Pamela Canepa, also of Pennsauken, was arrested and charged with third-degree possession with intent to distribute a CDS of one ounce or more, but less than five pounds/marijuana.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
