Following a six month long investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies, six people have been arrested and charged with narcotics and weapons offenses.

On July 2nd, authorities executed six search warrants in Atlantic City and one in Lindenwold. From those search warrants, approximately 2,890 bags of heroin, three pounds of marijuana, four handguns, extended handgun magazines, ammunition, a large amount of money, and several vehicles were seized.

In a press release, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said, “The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is grateful for the resources that are available to our community through our membership in the Liberty Atlantic HIDTA. Collaborating with the DEA and other local law enforcement agencies gives us a force multiplier in our efforts to reduce the amount of guns and drugs in our community. Our goal is to disrupt the criminal activity at a higher level, before it ever reaches our streets. Thank you to all of our partners.”

The following individuals were charged and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility: 38-year-old Felix Beltran, Sr.; 20-year-old Kenneth Thompson, Jr.; 21-year-old Felix Beltran, Jr.; 21-year-old Eric Williams;

The following individuals were charged on a summons and released: 37-year-old Chinkume Cannon and 21-year-old Kareem Ellerbee.

16 different law enforcement agencies ranging from the state police and the FBI to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and several local police departments.
