The South Jersey Field of Dreams in Absecon is taking on a very big task for Memorial Day and they need your help this evening!

To honor the men and women from New Jersey who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country, the South Jersey Field of Dreams is putting 15,433 American flags on their baseball field. So far, about 5,000 flags are out, obviously leaving another 10,000 to go and Memorial Day is quickly approaching.

This is where you can help: this evening (Tuesday, May 19th) from 6:00 to 7:00, folks with the Field of Dreams are asking for volunteers to come out and help them put the remaining flags on display.

On their Facebook page today, they said:

To date Dr John and friends have planted 5000 flags – leaving 10,000 to go. We’re meeting Tuesday night (May 19th) between 6:00 and 7:00 pm. Your help, family, friends, whom ever you can bring is needed. The flags look beautiful, but many still need to be planted. Please come down ( with volunteers) and let see how many we can get done. Bug spray, gloves, knee pads have proven to be helpful.

The South Jersey Field of Dreams is located on Morton Ave. (between Crestview Ave. and Highland Blvd.) in Absecon. Thank you!
