SWAT Team Removes Bomb-making Materials, Drugs from Berlin House
A Berlin street looked like a scene out of an action movie over the weekend as a police raid took place.
A narcotics SWAT team from Camden County Prosecutors Suburban Narcotics Task Force rolled down Day Ave. in what was originally supposed to be a drug bust. But authorities also came upon a pipe bomb and other bomb-making materials, according to 6abc.com.
Neighbors were evacuated from the area as a precaution while the bomb was defused, reports the Courier Post.
Inside the reportedly strongly-reinforced home officers also found several weapons.
40-year-old Don Wheeler was arrested and charged with possession of an IED (improvised explosive device) and bomb-making material, and possession of crystal meth and heroin with intent to distribute. A 30-year-old woman named Jemma Love was also charged with drug possession.
