Three teens are facing charges after they allegedly broke into multiple vehicles in Gloucester County early Tuesday morning.

Glassboro Police say that at about 4:30 AM, they received a call from a resident in the area of Laurel Avenue and Wilmer Street, reporting that several people were trying to get into her vehicle; they fled before police arrived.

About 20 minutes later, authorities received another call from the opposite side of the city, stating that three people were running away from a car alarm on Normal Boulevard.

Officers responded to the area and located three subjects wearing ski masks on the corner of Campus Terrace and North Main Street; they were detained and located next to them and on one of their persons property not belonging to them was recovered.

19-year-old Matthew Marino of Elm, 19-year-old Dereon Adkins from Vineland, and a 17-year-old juvenile from Camden ("D.D.") were all taken into custody.

Marino was charged with the following and released on a Summons:

  • Theft
  • Trespassing
  • Burglary

Adkins was charged with the following and released on a Summons:

  • Conspiracy
  • Burglary

"D.D." was charged with the following and pending a Juvenile Complaint:

  • Theft
  • Trespassing
  • Burglary
  • Possession of Burglary Tools

Police say they were able to obtain video showing the trio entering multiple vehicles in the area.

The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
