Me and mine, want to share with you and yours … where you can go for great seafood in Cape May, New Jersey.

It’s where the food is great and the service staff are even better … and, that’s hard to say because the seafood is always outstanding.

The Lobster House, Cape May, New Jersey

Located right at Exit 0 on the Garden State Parkway, it opened for business in 1954. The table cloths still have the classic red checkered appearance and the staff where’s basically the same uniform for the past 70-plus years.

The Atmosphere Is Timeless

You feel it as soon as you walk through the doors. The restaurant is huge, and we have always been seated right away.

No reservations are available, but, it doesn’t matter. Wait time has never been an issue for us and your entire meal is served within a very reasonable wait time.

The Service Staff

I can only recall having the same server more than one time only once.

They are all great and you can tell that this iconic seafood restaurant provides excellent training for their service staff.

Here Is My Meal From Yesterday

The lobster tail above is mine from yesterday. It should have its own zip code. I selected mashed potatoes and stewed tomatoes as my two side dishes, and they are always perfect.

I took 1/3 of this monster lobster tail home and Margie cut it into medallions and sprinkled it on top of a fabulous plate of pasta and spaghetti sauce (see below) for my dinner from last night.

The was able to enjoy this Lobster Hiuse delicacy for lunch and dinner yesterday. What a treat it was.

Here is My Sister Karen’s Meal From Yesterday

Karen loves the fried shrimp and defaults to it almost every time we dine at The Lobster House.

It’s consistently excellent each and every time. Karen also enjoyed a baked potato and salad (see directly below):

Karen took home her baked potato leftovers and will repurpose it as potato skins, as part of a second meal.

Here Is Margie’s Meal From Yesterday

Margie is not a big seafood person. However, she loves the turkey sandwich, which is served on fabulous bread (see directly below):

The sandwich is served with homemade potato chips.

Margie brought 1/2 of her sandwich and a generous amount of potato chips home for a second meal.

Look At This Amazing Fresh Bread

This is placed on your table, early during your meal. You can also purchase the bread at the seafood and dessert retail store, which is located directly adjacent to the restaurant.
