
Large Police Presence at Borgata Casino in Atlantic City, NJ
There is a significant number of police officers at The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey at this hour.
Rumors spread today during the late afternoon like wildfire on social media.
We will not speculate during such a massive police operation.

Multiple sources have told us that no one is permitted to enter Borgata at this time.
We have spoken with Atlantic City Councilman George Tibbitt, who had just left Borgata moments before the heavy police presence arrived on the scene.
Tibbitt was not in a position to offer any definitive comment about what was going on and he did not want to speculate.
We have also spoken with a neighboring elected official, who was aware of the situation. He confirmed that no traffic is permitted to enter or at this time.

Captain Kevin Fair, from the Atlantic City Police Department has confirmed the following:
ATLANTIC CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT Conducting Investigation at Borgata:
The Atlantic City Police Department is currently on scene at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa conducting an active investigation. There is NO active shooter, said Captain Fair.
7:15 P.M. UPDATE FROM CAPTAIN KEVIN FAIR:
On July 18, 2024, at 3:55 PM, Atlantic City Police Department Communications Unit received a call from an anonymous male who claimed he was inside the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in possession of firearms and an explosive device. Patrol officers responded to the scene, and along with Borgata Security, conducted a sweep of the building during which no suspicious individuals or devices were located. Out of an abundance of cau-tion, portions of the building were briefly evacuated. Patrons have been since been allowed back in the building and law enforcement has cleared the scene. The validity of this threat is still under investigation.
